Torsten Edens

Torsten Edens (born in Jersey City, sometime in the groovy 1960s) is a Danish-American travel professional with more than thirty five years of globe-trotting under his belt — and probably a lifetime’s worth of frequent flyer miles which he never collected. He’s best known for crafting immersive travel experiences across the four continents he’s called home (and a few he’s just flirted with).

From sipping tea in the mountain villages of Nepal and Switzerland to getting lost (on purpose) in the deserts of Egypt and Morocco, and from dodging scooters in the jungles of Myanmar, Laos, and Vietnam to navigating the urban jungles of New York, Bangkok, and Copenhagen — Torsten has turned travel into an art form.

Having explored 68 countries, resided in 18 (and counting), he’s developed a knack for finding those “wait, this can’t be real” moments the rest of us only see on postcards. When not off somewhere discovering new corners of our wonderfully weird planet, he can be found on a small Danish island — plotting his next escape.
